What ‘Vision Challenge’ is all about?

vision-challenge-blind-sports
The Vision Challenge Fun Run provides a unique challenge where participants can enter as either an individual or as a team of two or three. Each member can take turns wearing a blindfold and walk or run whilst being led by their team-mate(s) around a 2km circuit to “challenge the way they see the world.” This circuit can be completed once, twice or four times to complete your choice of a 2km, 4km or 8km race.

We are also pleased to announce this years exciting new initiative for those that aren’t comfortable wearing a blindfold…..come as your favourite masked superhero. We have some exciting prizes for the best dressed!

Do I have to wear the blindfold?

No, but we strongly encourage you too, for the experience and to raise awareness!

If you wear a blindfold & also come in your superhero get up, that is pretty impressive & will give you an even better chance of winning a prize!

Where is it taking place?

Within the safe confines of Victoria Park. The predominantly flat circuit utilises the wide road areas and compact pathways starting from in front of the Victoria Park grandstand.

What happens after I’m finished?

Following the event there will also be an opportunity to ride a tandem bike for a gold coin donation or participate in other vision impaired sports such as goalball and blind cricket. There will also be a BBQ & mobile coffee van onsite and our post race refreshments station will provide snacks and drinks.
